New Review for Zombie Complex

One of the biggest challenges for an independent author is getting reviews.  However, they've been trickling in for Zombie Complex:  The Battle for Chattahoochee Run.  Today, I learned that Zombie Complex was reviewed by Susie of Bookworm Reviews and earned 5 out of 5 stars.  The work of book reviewers and book bloggers is especially valuable since they read plenty of books and let authors know how we are doing in comparison with others in our genre and the book universe.

I tried hard to make the characters real in Zombie Complex and the reviewer appreciated it.

Now this book shows how a real zombie apocalypse would have gone down, forget what Hollywood shows you 'Zombie Complex: The Battle for Chattahoochee Run' by Alexander Pain shows how real people try to stay alive. (Read the whole review on Bookworm Reviews.)


Of course, good reviews also pose a challenge.  They add motivation to my writing efforts and they  challenge me to keep quality high!

Book Reviews for Zombie Complex

When readers take the time to put in a good word for Zombie Complex.  It means a lot.  As an independently published novel, there is no big publishing house to crank out publicity or fund a book tour or do any of the myriad things that go into creating a best seller.  As a newcomer to publishing, every possible award seems like a potential scam. The only judgment I can rely on is the judgment of actual readers who liked the book.  I've tweeted about this before, but every good review seems like an Academy Award.  It is a stamp of approval and a green light to keep on writing.

Zombie Complex Receives A 5-Star Book Review

As a writer, I'm always thrilled when I see that people are reading and liking my work.  I was over the moon, when I learned that another kind reader has taken the time to leave a book review for Zombie Complex on Amazon.com.  This time it earned 5-Stars!  Here is the review edited slightly for spelling:

Zombie Complex:  The Battle for Chattahoochee Run is a very simple read , that does not mean it is not a wonderful story. Just the opposite , it is well thought out, no weird names viruses or complex reasons why the people die and come back as zombies. If I day any more other than that I will be giving away spoilers. So , just take a chance . I did and I am looking forward to the next installment.

First Review for Zombie Complex - FOUR STARS!!!

Every writer, actor, or artist eagerly awaits reviews of their work.  I recently received my first review for my first novel Zombie Complex.  The reader gave the book four stars and wrote - Worth the read.

Took a gamble and the price was right at 97 cents. The pace of the story was good and the plot interesting without being predictable. The main character had faults in that he was a "chunky monkey" and certainly not in the best of health or fitness. An absorbing sub-plot with the cultural differences within the complex residents. Healthy dose of humour helped the flow of story. Kept me entertained and that is all I require from a book.

I'm really very glad that the reader enjoyed the book and found it entertaining! I appreciate that the reader took the time to leave a review.
