Zombie Cinquain Poem: The Quiet

No planes
No trains or trucks
No cars or highway roar
Just the still of night, moans, screams, and
gunshots!

For you writers and poets out there, here is a cool looking manual typewriter.  I'm sure that the tapping of a typewriter won't attract zombies.  Well, not totally sure, but it might not attract zombies.  You know, you might want to keep a big knife by the typewriter.

Zombie Limerick: The Man from Mumbai

There once was a man from Mumbai
who was a bits and bytes kind of guy
 while he submitted his code
the dead came into his abode
and transformed him into a Zombai !!!

Zombie Cinquain: Sleepless

They scratch
all day and night.
They know we are in here.
The dead can wait for a long time.
Sleepless.

Zombie Cinquain Poem: Comebacks.

I punch.
He keeps coming.
I kick and he comes back.
He bites my arm, I die, and now
I'm back.

Apocalyptic Haiku: All Comfort Gone

A silent AC
welcomes unrelenting heat
all comforts are gone

External Air Conditioning Units on an old brick Apartment Building

Perhaps one day, I'll create a book of zombie poetry, but in the meantime, I like these-

Zombie Limerick - Walking and Stalking

If ever you see a dead man who is walking
then you'll be glad that we spent this time talking
If you're without a handgun
very fast you should run
or forever the living you'll be stalking.

Chirping birds and green trees
inside we all hide

Zombie Cinquain: Taking Chances

Inside
with no TV,
no electricity,
I'll take my chances out with
Zombies

Zombie Limerick: The Hazards of Working from Home

There once was a guy who worked from home,

because his employer warned that zombies might roam.
He showed up on Skype
Declared it was hype
Until one little zombie bite changed his chromosome.

Zombie Poem: The Hiding Time

they can't get us
as long as we can hide
but for food and water we go

Zombie Cinquain Poem - Keeping Pace

Are you
tired of walking?
I never get tired now.
I'll keep shuffling right behind you:
waiting.
