Zombie Cinquain Poem: The Quiet

No planes
No trains or trucks
No cars or highway roar
Just the still of night, moans, screams, and
gunshots!

For you writers and poets out there, here is a cool looking manual typewriter.  I'm sure that the tapping of a typewriter won't attract zombies.  Well, not totally sure, but it might not attract zombies.  You know, you might want to keep a big knife by the typewriter.

Zombie Cinquain Poem: Tree to Tree

Leaves crunch
Twigs snap and crack
from tree to tree I run
to escape the moaning ones and
live on

Zombie Cinquain: Sleepless

They scratch
all day and night.
They know we are in here.
The dead can wait for a long time.
Sleepless.

Zombie Haiku: The Blinds

Blinds closed for summer
A shield against heat and horde
my stomach growling

Zombie Haiku: Hold Your Nose

Summer smells rotten
The dead trudge through the city
roadkill on the move

Apocalyptic Haiku: All Comfort Gone

A silent AC
welcomes unrelenting heat
all comforts are gone

Perhaps one day, I'll create a book of zombie poetry, but in the meantime, I like these-

Zombie Limerick - Walking and Stalking

If ever you see a dead man who is walking
then you'll be glad that we spent this time talking
If you're without a handgun
very fast you should run
or forever the living you'll be stalking.

Zombie Haiku: Hiding

Spring in Atlanta
Chirping birds and green trees
inside we all hide

Zombie Cinquain Poem: Stop Eating!

Watch it!
Lay off the food!
No more cookies or snacks!
Outside is nothing but danger
and dead!

Zombie Cinquain: Taking Chances

Inside
with no TV,
no electricity,
I'll take my chances out with
Zombies

Zombie Haiku - Alive Inside

Dead but yet walking
A faint flicker in my eyes
still alive inside?

Zombie Poem: The Hiding Time

they can't get us
as long as we can hide
but for food and water we go
outside

Zombie Limerick: A Zombie named Phil

There once was a rotten zombie named Phil,
who left Waffle House without paying his bill,
with no money in his pockets,
and no eyes in his sockets,
he burned off his hands on their grill.

Zombie Limerick: The Zombie from Macon

There once was a Zombie from Macon,
who got bit when Waffle House was taken.
If he wanders your way,
he'll bite you and say,
"Wow, y'all taste just like good bacon!"

Zombie Lymeric: Zombie from Atlanta

There once was a zombie from Atlanta,
who ate the brains of a mall Santa,
his stomach churned,
his insides all burned,
and he had to drink lots of Mylanta!

Zombie Haiku Series - Z at 30,000 Feet

The jet way was hot
We are all miserable
But some sweat too much

My knee is throbbing
with a five hour flight ahead
this will not be fun

After snack service
Some dude over the wing snarls
Now what's the problem?

He looks kind of sick!
What the hell is wrong with him?
Murmurs of a beast

Pandemonium!
What's all the yelling about?
Dude bit somebody!

Zombie Cinquain Poem - Keeping Pace

Are you
tired of walking?
I never get tired now.
I'll keep shuffling right behind you:
waiting.
